Braille music readers, a question.

Hi, Zoners:
I've been fighting with this for a while and want to know what others have done about it. I'm a flautist and use Braille music, but have a lot of trouble keeping it at a comfortable height for reading, since I have no tables at the right height. I would use a music stand, but mine are too narrow to keep the books I use, and I also tend to like my metronome on the stand, if possible. I don't like to sit while practicing, which causes a lot of these problems in the first place--otherwise the desk would be my best option.

So: Am I the only one with this problem? If anyone else struggles with keeping all their practice tools within easy reach because their music stands are not big enough, what do you use? Is there a different kind of stand that will work better?

Best,

Alison

Hello, Alison! I am a braille music reader too. I struggle with this every day, because actually I don't own a music stand, so I practice in front of a desk, standing of course, when it comes to the flute. It hasn't been hard foh the piano, for it has it's own music serfice. But I'll look up a music Stand I saw that I'm planning to buy, and send you the link. It's resistant, and rather elegant. :)

What about the conductor's stand. It is much larger and very solid. I would check some in a music shop! I guess they are available everywhere! Cheers

Thanks both; I'll check out both of those suggestions! :)
